Key Chain Supplies

  1. Begin by opening your key chain according to the directions given. You can find these at the craft store. They may come in other shapes as well. Key Chain
  2. Cut out the shape of your key chain into the pattern paper. It works well to use the paper that was inside the key chain as a template. You could do two if you wanted the design to be on both sides or you can leave one side plain. Key Chain
  3. Use your craft punch to punch out the desired shape from the solid color paper. Key Chain
  4. Use glue, tape, craft adhesive or anything else to attached the punched shape to your pattern paper. You only need it to stay in place once you put the key chain back together. If you use glue, be sure it dries or there is no excess leaking. You don't want that stuck to the front of your key chain. Key Chain
  5. Now put your paper back in the key chain and close it. Key Chain
  6. Attach the key or keys you want on the key chain to the ring.
  7. Cut a bunch of short piece of ribbon. They can be in different sizes and colors. You will be cutting the excess off so length doesn't really matter. Start tying on the strings and tie them in a knot. Once you have them all done, cut the excess so they aren't too long.
  8. Now you are all ready to use your key ring. This makes a cute gift or a fun favor to make at a party or get together.
