Featured Crafter

Please welcome Julie Edmonds! Julie was kind enough to contact me and I am so excited to introduce all of you to her and her wonderful work. I am thankful Julie contacted me, because I just haven't had the time to search for crafters to feature. This was a great excuse to get another featured crafter post! So thank you, Julie! Here's a little more about Jen in her own words.

I've been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for over 5 years and lovin' every minute of it! I enjoy all kinds of different crafting projects, but paper crafting is my first love! I have a passion for anything purple, good books, and funky socks! I love participating in swaps for ideas and just recently became a Swap Forum Moderator at Splitcoast Stampers. I am a member of the Stampin' Spot Design Team.

Julie's website, Inkredible Stamping is one you will definitely want to stop by and see! I love the name of her site! I will post some of her favorite pictures soon!

I also asked Julie a few questions I thought would be fun to hear answers to.

How did you get started with crafts?
I've been crafting since I was VERY little - my Mom loved to come up with fun projects for us to do! I started my rubber stamping when I was in elementary school. We made bookmarks and cards. I still have some of those stamps and projects and WOW :) have we come a long way in a small amount of time!!

How much time per day do you spend on your crafts? Is it enough?
There's never enough time :) - I craft a lot for my business, but I try to set aside a few hours each week to create for myself!

What is your favorite craft item to use or project to make?
I LOVE to create small 3-d gift items. Little boxes, wrapped candy, photo clips, and more!

Where do you get your inspiration (for your stamp creating or card making)?
Inspiration is everywhere - I might see a project I like online or in a craft magazine that inspires me. I also find ads, posters, magazines, and more can inspire me at odd times. I'll just pass something by and think Wow - those colors would look great together... Or I could make something like that myself! :) Of course my biggest source of inspiration is My Stampin' Up! Idea Book!! I think I flip through my book at least once a day every day!

Do you have any advice for fellow crafters out there? Words of wisdom, perhaps?
My advice to my fellow crafter is Don't be afraid to try something new, even if it doesn't come out right the first time and enjoy your time creating. Quick projects are GREAT (I LIVE for quick projects) but enjoy every second of time it takes to make your quick project - The love will show in your final product!

Julie does wonderful work and these are some of her favorites! The last one is her "all time favorite"! Enjoy!

I have been in her stamp club for several years and am always amazed at the creative projects she comes up with for each meeting. Way to go Julie. Keep up the good work.
