Big Weekend

November 12, 2007 - 11:15pm

I have all sorts of things to show you today. First I want to apologize for being MIA for a couple days. We have been busy with birthday celebrating. I spent Friday watching one of my little brothers (he's almost 10) baking cookies and cupcakes and getting ready for a party we had on Saturday with our friends. And then I spent Sunday recovering. :) So here I am...late on Monday, finally getting around to saying hello to my loyal readers!

Here is a picture of the card I got from Linda, a stamp set she sent me, and some Bella images I got from Katie. Thank you so much to both of you.

Birthday Goodies

I also got a bunch of really fun birthday gifts. I got a CuttleBug as well as a bunch of embossing folders to go with it. I am so excited to play with it more! I am sure you'll be seeing lots of cards with these in the future! If you don't have one of these, I really recommend it. They are so simple to use, but add so much to the cards!

CuttleBug

I also got a Crop-A-Dile! I know these can be purchased many places...Stampin' Up!, JoAnn Stores, Michael's and I am sure many others. I am lucky enough to have a pink one! Woo hoo! I think it does eyelets even better in pink! I just love how simple this tool is to use. I had no idea, but I am so glad to have one now! Oh, the possibilities! This is a new must have too as well!

Crop-A-Dile

Then my best friend, Katie, who is also my SU demo, got me the Watercolor Pencils and the ticket corner punch from SU. I love the colored pencils and I can't wait to use them more. I only dappled in them this weekend to try them out. They look so cool! Once I get better at it, I'll have to share my coloring. :) And I have had my eye on that punch for some time. Seeing all of Beate's projects with it, it's hard not to want it!

Watercolor Pencils

I also won a couple stamp sets at Katie's house this weekend. She had a stamp-a-stack and I won a set, my mom won a set (and gave it to me) and another friend got a set for me because she is demo. I wanted a few of the level one hostess sets and don't have a way to really get them since I am not a demo. So now, after this weekend...I have Event Full, Sidekick Sayings and So Many Sayings! Check out what I did!

Stamps on Dominoes

Stamps on Dominoes

When I first saw this set mounted on dominoes, I knew I wanted it! So I spent some time...and two trips to the store for dominoes because I didn't think to count how many dominoes I would need for the set (Get more than 28! Oops!). I love them! It was a tedious process, but I am so glad I took the time to do it. This set will be so useful this way! I just wanted to share that!

Thanks for stopping by. I will get some of my work up here soon. I also have another great place to share with you soon! Stay tuned. You aren't going to want to miss this!

I didn't really believe you when you said you got a lot of stuff, but wow. I love the idea of mounting the stamps on dominos. It makes it so much easier to line things up and work with the images.
Happy Birthday my dear!!
