Clear Stamp Technique
October 4, 2007 - 12:11pm

Difficulty:
(1/5)
Supplies
- Clear flower stamps (The ones shown are from Autumn Leaves "Build-A-Flower" by Katie Pertiet)
- Card stock
- Stamping markers (I used Marvy Le Plumme II)
- Black stamping ink
- Clear stamp block
Instructions
- I used stamps from Autumn Leaves for this project. I used just the leaf part and centers for this flower. I didn't use any of the petals. I know a small set of these can be purchased at Target as well. Both sets are shown below.

- Put one of the flower centers on a clear block and ink with black ink. Then stamp in the center of your card stock. I have a piece cut small enough to begin, but you can cut it down to size later if you choose.

- Next ink one of the outlined petals in black ink and stamp at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 o'clock as if you are looking at a clock.

- Now ink in black one of the solid leaves and stamp at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 o'clock. This should fill all the spaces for the flower.

- After you clean the solid leaf stamp, take one of your marker colors and rub it all over the stamp. They will make a strange pattern. Ink will only adhere in some places on the stamp.

- Now stamp that in one of the outlined leaves. Then repeat for all of the outlined areas.

- Do this same thing with a different ink color for one of the solid centers.

- Stamp over the outlined center.

- Now you can add some glitter or leave it the way it is and add it to a card base. This can be done so many different ways. I would love to see what you create. Leave a post here to show me if you make one of these fun flowers!
